🛠 Installation Steps
1Install the Agent
Download the correct version for your system. Install and launch ALGTP Agent (Bridge).
2Open IB TWS or IB Gateway
Before connecting, make sure:
IB TWS or IB Gateway is running. Go to:
Global Configuration → API → Settings
Enable:
- Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients
- Uncheck “Read-Only API”
Use correct port (LIVE only):
TWS Live: 7496
Gateway Live: 4001
✨ Signal Guide — How to Read Splash
The ✨ Splash button on the Trading page adds colour-coded rank badges and momentum signals to every row in the Market Movers panel.
Toggle it ON to see them. Here’s what each signal means:
🏆 Rank Levels — Top 4 Positions
Always shown on the top 4 rows regardless of data — purely position-based.
🥇 Rank 1#1 Position — Gold border & glow. Strongest mover in the current list.row index = 0
🥈 Rank 2#2 Position — Silver border & glow.row index = 1
🥉 Rank 3#3 Position — Bronze border & glow.row index = 2
#4#4 Position — Purple border & glow.row index = 3
📊 Signal Badges — Rows 5 and Beyond
Applied to any row outside the top 4. Only the highest-priority matching signal fires — one badge per row.

🔥 Momentum Heat Badges (Repeat Activity)
Appear next to the symbol when it is refreshed multiple times inside a 30-second window — indicates a ticker is being hit repeatedly by the scanner.
⚡ HOTHot — Yellow. Ticker appeared 3+ times in the last 30 seconds.3–5 refreshes in 30s window
⚡⚡ PUMPPumping — Orange. High-frequency re-appearance, strong sustained momentum.6–11 refreshes in 30s window
🔥🔥🔥 MEGAMega Heat — Red pulse. Extremely aggressive scanner activity — treat with caution, can be volatile.12+ refreshes in 30s window
💡 How to use signals effectively
- Signals are not buy/sell orders — they highlight potential setups only.
- ⚡ AO is the most precise signal — it requires both the Awesome Oscillator to be bullish
- Combine 🔥 MOMO with volume confirmation — if the Vol column is also highlighted green, the move has real backing.
- Rank 1–4 rows are sorted by gap%, float turnover, then volume — they represent the top movers of the current scan, not necessarily the safest trades.
- Always check the AI★ score column alongside the badge — high score + MOMO/AO = stronger setup.
- Turn Splash OFF if you find the visuals distracting during fast markets.

💡 Tips for using signals
- Signals are not buy/sell orders — they highlight potential setups only.
- ⚡ AO is the most precise entry signal — AO 5/34 positive + price above EMA9 on 1m–5m. Use it to time momentum entries.
- Combine 🔥 MOMO with a high Vol column (highlighted green) for stronger confirmation.
- Rank 1–4 rows are sorted by Gap%, Float Turnover, then Volume — top movers, not necessarily the safest trades.
- Cross-check the AI★ score column — a high score alongside AO or MOMO is a stronger combined signal.
- Turn Splash OFF to remove all visual noise during fast markets.
